The change-over switch is an integral component of the CNG/LPG electronic circuit system and is typically installed on the vehicle dashboard, conveniently located near the drivers seat for easy access.
How the Switch Works
When the car is started (ignition is turned on), an orange light illuminates, indicating that the vehicle is running on petrol. As the accelerator is pressed and the engines RPM increases, the system automatically switches to CNG once a pre-set RPM threshold (usually programmed at 1200 RPM) is reached. At this point, green lights appear on the switch panel, signaling that the car is now operating on CNG. The number of green lights displayed also indicates the level of CNG available in the gas cylinder. If the driver wishes to switch back to petrol, even if CNG is still available, a single press of the switch will transition the fuel mode to petrol. The changeover is smooth, and the driver will not experience any knocking or interruptions during the fuel conversion process.
