Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) compiles in Communication Engineering and core Electronics Engineering. The course concept is to focus mainly on the communication part with the knowledge of the electronics field.

Electronics and communication engineering is an emerging field of engineering.

In the first half of the course, the students go through the basic engineering concept, physics, mathematics, and chemistry. In the second half of the course, the students go through the core study of communication such as design, digital electronics, fundamentals of Electronics engineering, signal & circuit, electronic circuits, VLSI, power electronics, computer architecture, and control systems.

We stay current with the latest technology, so youll work directly with the same equipment and techniques youll encounter in the electronics engineering industry. Youll gain first-hand experience with power and energy systems, signal processing, computer simulation, digital communications, circuit board design, control systems, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.

Advanced work and learning opportunities
Students can graduate after two years with an Electronics Engineering Technician degree, or continue for an optional third year to pursue a Technology. If you do opt for the third year, youll have the opportunity to apply for a paid, co-op work placement in electronics engineering that enables you to earn while you learn. (Enrolment limited through the co-op application process.)

Additional information
Through hands-on experiments and project-based assignments in our open-concept electronics engineering laboratories, youll learn to think creatively, solve problems and collaborate effectively on multidisciplinary teams.

All students in this program work on laptop computers and have round-the-clock online access to lecture notes and other subject material. You can work on projects outside of class time, collaborate on group projects from home, and spend extra time studying and mastering the material.

Graduates have completed all the academic requirements for professional certification. Our Electronics Engineering Technician/Technology program graduates frequently develop their own businesses or serve as freelance consultants.
