NGOs have been and continue to assist in responding to the needs looking at education, healthcare, environmental, and human rights issues within the society.

Major Functions of NGOs
1. Community Development
  • Creating programs in the areas of education, healthcare, and skills training.
2. Advocacy and Promotion
  • Creating awareness of issues including gender-related violence, climate change and human rights.
3. Disaster response and recovery
  • Responding to and providing Help during natural disasters, outbreaks and other epidemics.
4. Policy Achievements
  • Working directly with selected governments on policy and regulatory matters.
5. Resourcing Or Mobilization
  • Sourcing finances, volunteers and other resources for the projects and initiatives.
